Financial Assistance is offered for eligible Florida Masons age 65+ years in good standing to assist with short term medical emergencies and hospital expenses. Applicants must demonstrate need, meet financial criteria and must be applying or receiving public benefits including Medicare and Medicaid.
*Non Resident Relief Fund is offered to eligible Florida Masons Age 65+ in good standing to assist with short term and possible long term assistance to remain in your home if able. Applicants must have or be applying for Medicare and Medicaid benefits.
*Emergency Relief Fund is offered to eligible Florida Masons Age 65+ in good standing to assist with emergent health matters and in financial distress. This fund shall not exceed the sum of 1000.00, neither shall it extend for a period longer than 3 months.
*Hal W Adams Hospital Service Fund is offered to eligible Florida Masons Age 66+ and in good standing to assist with medical, surgical or hospital care and be without money or other means to secure needed services. Original grants from this fund are not to exceed the sum of 500.00 dollars.

The Masonic Home of Florida Criteria for Financial Assistance under the Outreach Program
The primary goal of Masonic Non-resident Relief Fund is to provide assistance to elderly Worthy Brothers or Widows in need of Assisted Living and/or are not able or desirous of applying for resident at the Masonic Home of Florida as part of the Fraternal Care process. Although asset transfer is not a requisite, re-payment may be required of the recipients of Medicare. Medicare and /or Social Security or retirement benefits such as pensions, VA benefits, retirements plans/annuities, as their primary healthcare and general funding source. The Masonic Non-Resident Relief Funds not the primary form of financial assistance, rather a secondary or gap contribution to the above mentioned.
A second group of individuals with be considered under the Non-Resident Relief Fund for long term assistance. These worthy individuals who are not seeing admission to the Masonic Home of Florida or otherwise, in safely and securely remaining in their own home. The listed principles apply as identified below. Healthcare insurance, through Federal, state, Obamacare, VA, Medicaid etc. or third-party sources is required; Grand Lodge will not assume these healthcare responsibilities.
- All applicants for Non-Resident Relief Fund must be Master Masons in good standing for at least 10 years of a Florida Blue Lodge or widow thereof.
- All Applicants must complete the Non-Resident Relief Fund Application found on Grand Lodge or Masonic Home of Florida Websites.
- All applicants much have applied for any reasonable local, state and Federal assistance programs prior to pursuing this application, including Medicare and Medicaid.
- All applicants or their representative, will be required to go through financial counseling and education as a condition of successful application.
- All approved applications will require submission of monthly receipts for continued funding. Each recipient will have a complete review no less than semi-annually to assess on-going needs.
- Incomplete or inaccurate information is considered grounds for rejection.
- The Masonic Home and it’s various charitable and endowments will not take on any level of indebtedness owed by the applicant.
- Applicants granted Non-Resident Relief Funds are at the discretion of the Board of Trustees and not a matter of right
- The Board of Trustees shall have the authority to require repayment to recover, if possible, the monies granted.
